“Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”

Kingdom Foundation Institute, Inc., under God’s guidance, has lived the reality the saying attributed to St. Francis.

In 1996 it became necessary for one missionary family, in refuge from war, to provide foundational academic preparation for their own 3 children at home, using an international, Christian-based academic curriculum. Back home from refuge, it was possible to add 78 other neighborhood children in a school building made with sticks and local oil palm straw mat walls and charity-donated tarpaulin roofing on temporarily donated land space. With a school operational permit from the Ministry of Education, classes now ran K-5.

By 2008, the impossible opened up right before our eyes with the grand opening of an 18-classroom one-story building, besides offices, multipurpose hall and science room, and a first aid room – funded by donations from individuals and institutions in the U.S.A and Liberia. The grand opening was graced with the President of the Republic of Liberia cutting the ribbons. At this point, the student population had grown to nearly 200 in grades K-9.

Over the years Kingdom Foundation Institute has thrived, growing a K-12 education delivery, numerous teacher professional development conferences, establishing the Christian Schools Network, serving beyond the Christian school community, and partnerships with national and international educational programs. The provisions of its Not-for-Profit Corporation status in the County of Montserrado, Republic of Liberia, certified in 2021 authenticates and expands our services.

Kingdom Foundation Institute, Inc. mission and vision remain possible. We remain intentional as one of the premier institutions in K-12 education and educational professional development featuring excellence in research-inspired curricula and pedagogy support, evidence-based support for early literacy and science education, grounded in the Christian worldview.
